Updated - Remembrance Services - 8th November

Updated: Nov 6, 2020

Since we made our plans for Remembrance Sunday Services the Government has changed what we can do. Instead of services inside of Church we will now, where we can, be going outside. Please check below for an updated list. However in line with Government requirements and national practice this year's Act of Remembrance at the War Memorials is for village representatives (on behalf of all of us), members of the Armed Forces and veterans. We encourage the general public to participate through one of the TV broadcast or online services.

Suffolk County Council is encouraging as many people as possible to observe remembrance on their door step with 2 minutes silence at 11 o-clock on Remembrance Sunday, instead of attending public acts of remembrance.

This Sunday's services are: -

  • 9.30am Online Family Service for Remembrance Sunday

  • 10.45am Online Act of Remembrance.

For village representatives (on behalf of all of us), members of the Armed Forces and veterans:

  • 9.30am Act of Remembrance, Hasketon

  • 10.45am Act of Remembrance, Grundisburgh

  • 12.00 noon Act of Remembrance, Swilland (In the Churchyard)

For these acts, please be particularly observant of Social distancing.
