Good News According to Mark - A dramatic interpretation, 16th Jan

We are pleased to be hosting a performance of the Good News According to Mark - A dramatic interpretation by Angus Stuart.

4pm Sunday 16th January 2022, St Mary’s Church Grundisburgh

The Gospel according to Mark is brought to life in a dramatic one-man performance set in the poetic stillness of this sacred space. Through this live encounter, the audience is transported back in time to be with Jesus on the dusty roads of Palestine and on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Hearing the Gospel as a whole will enable us to be intellectually challenged and make connections in a new light.

The performance last about two hours. There are two short breaks and St Mary’s does have lavatory facilities.

Given the uncertainty of the Covid situation, please register your interest in attending this event by emailing amy@carlfordchurches.org or signing a list in one of the Carlford benefice churches.

We are not selling tickets ahead of the day, but would ask you to consider making a donation of at least £10 per person at the performance. A card reader will be available. Proceeds from this event will help to support ongoing medical costs for Martha, a young Nigerian woman. As a child, Martha suffered veno-occlusive disease with resultant cirrhosis of the liver. Although she had a liver transplant she needs expensive, medication to keep her alive. Angus’s church in Canada have supported Martha for a number of years. More of her story will be available at the performance.

If you find you are unable to attend, please let us know so someone else can take your place if we are oversubscribed.
