Our annual meetings are an important part of church life. They give us a chance to reflect on what has happened and to look to the future. In this benefice, we normally have a thanksgiving service and hear from each part of the life of our churches which allows us to thank God for all that is going on. It's also the time to elect our Churchwardens and PCC for the coming year and allow parishioners not on the PCC to ask questions and give feedback. The meetings are open to all those in our parishes.
This year due to the pandemic we will hold the meetings slightly later in the year but not as services. That is not to say we aren't very grateful to God for his blessings throughout the year.
Prior to the meetings the Electoral Roll is updated, reports from the Minister, the church wardens and the treasurer are published. We also collect nominations for Churchwarden and PCC membership for the next year. This is done for each of our parishes. Parishes will be publishing formal notices of the meetings on their church doors two Sundays before the meeting.
