Our Councils

Our Churches are governed by a parochial church council (PCC) is the executive committee of a Church of England parish and consists of clergy and churchwardens of the parish, together with representatives of the laity. It is a corporate charitable body. Legally the council is responsible for the financial affairs of the church parish and the maintenance of its assets, such as churches and church halls. It also assists the clergy in the management of church affairs in the parish, and promoting the mission of the church.

In the Carlford Benefice a Benefice Joint Council has been formed and the PCC's are in the process of delegating some of their responsibilities to that council.

Policies

As the new Joint Benefice council adopts common policies they will be published here. This includes our safeguarding related policies. (These documents are public.)

Benefice Joint Council Page

There is a Joint Benefice council information page for council members. Here you can find our draft policies, meeting minutes and papers and future dates.
