The Funeral of Miss Jean Wurr on Tuesday 25th May at 12 noon at St Mary's church, Grundisburgh.
Jean was the daughter of Mr Stanley Wurr who was headmaster of Grundisburgh school from 1939 until 1968 and Mr and Mrs Wurr and Jean were all very active members of the village community throughout this time. Sadly Jean suffered poor health for much of her life and has lived in Haughgate House for many years. If you would like to attend the service please check with the churchwardens, as numbers are limited due to the need for social distancing.
My mother has just received a letter to find out about the death of Jean Wurr. My mother was a close school friend of Jean's and regularly kept in contact. She is saddened to hear of her death. As we live in Australia we couldn't have attended the service but we are sending our condolences. Pam and Elizabeth.
